Seldom has a film so frightened an audience terminator. After his release in 1984, broke a very low-budget sci-fi action movie box office records and gave the audience something to fear. Over the years, stories about nature, animals, creatures from another world, and so on and so forth. Jaws was scary because it seemed so possible. And if Jaws is scary, Terminator is terrible. The realization of this hit-man machine dawned on everyone watching the film. In an age of technology, how long will it take until the man was of the things it was created has been replaced? And that is what is most frightening about the film as a terminator. Terminator Arnold plays a cyborg, Cyberdyne System Model 101, T800, whatever that means.
