Review:
I saw the film at FrightFest in London a few days ago, and pretty well convinced Id will see something special - but I ended up seeing this movie is truly amazing. Brutal but beautiful, magical land still, has a wonderful cast, with standout performances every round.A special mention must go to Sergi Lopez, Captain Vidal is really one of the most innovative sadistic movie ever seen. Still he managed to make the audience understand why she is the way she ... outstanding performance. Maribel Verdus calm but rebellious housekeeper is one strong female roles Ive seen in many years, and he is supported by a lot of talent. Young Ivana Baquero as Ofelia surprisingly confident 12 years, and I really liked Alice almost like a magical creature technique he met in a maze. icing on the fairy tale curve is Doug Jones, who gives a towering performance - and in this case quite literally, and figuratively - as the guardian of the labyrinth, Faun, full of grace and charm and latent danger.
