Caught preview showing of the film in New York tonight. I'm 26, so I was in class 8 when he came originally out.Thought first two are great, but I thought the third significant away from what it was in the first two special. (A little too Stifler). For American Pie 4, when I saw the preview I was excited to see them all back together, but I do not know what to expect. I know Hollywood loves to destroy the sequels, and I do not know how to create a story of characters that really have not been together in forever.Fear not. And even if this movie was almost as good as the original. Two hours of non-stop shooting up, but nobody was forced. They entered the characters, but that does not look thrown together or authentic. It took about 2 hours and 15 minutes, but not the one that this was going. They did a nice job of explaining where everyone was and did not really seem to awkward. The best part is, the story of the five original guys, and their relationship with women and sex at the present time ( 31 years). Each has its problems (also married, have children, they hate their job, they hate our way of life, etc.), and the film is kind of all to address during weekend gathering. American Pie is more like his first too. All are old couples from high school (Oz / Heather, Kevin / Vicky, Jim / Michelle) re-hash of their past feelings.Another great thing about the film is that character was restored Stiflers style of American Pie 1 and 2, which I loved. His hand is more like having a wedding. Kevin, Finch (and Oz) have a much greater role than they do what they did in third. There couple of new characters, but none of them are uncomfortable or take too much of the story, all these parts are well cast. JIM Stiflers Dad and mom are hilarious on screen together. JIM Dad is the funniest thing he ever had, but again-not in the way over the top. Overall, it's well-written, well-rounded film with some good plot twists. Tons of movies too old references. Literally, the obscure characters from the first two to make an appearance in point.BOTTOM LINE: 9/10. If you're a fan of the American Pie films (especially 1 & 2) your going to love this movie. Worth $.
